Following initial discussions with members of the Barford, Sherbourne and Wasperton Joint Parish Council, Opus are holding a Public Consultation and Exhibition on Wednesday 15th November to allow residents in the surrounding area to learn more about the benefits and impacts that an Integrated Retirement Community could bring to Barford.
The event which is being held at the Barford Memorial Hall, 10.30am – 8.00pm, is an opportunity to find out more as well as to meet the Opus management team to answer any questions you may have.
The over 65 population within the Warwick District Council catchment area is due to increase by over 19% by 2033 with the over 85 population due to increase by over 46%, so it’s not surprising that the Barford Neighbourhood Plan under Policy B3, acknowledges the need for a facility such as the one proposed.
The new Opus Village will comprise c80 Retirement Apartments, c40 Assisted Living Suites and a c40-bed Care Home providing nursing and dementia care. The outstanding facilities will include restaurant, private dining, café-bar, library, residents lounge, cinema, activity studio as well as beautiful landscaped gardens including a Bowling Green and a Community Parkland. There will also be an O’Spa comprising gym and exercise studio, hair and beauty salon and treatment rooms.
